Steve's Programs
Steve Brogan is a Christian comic ventriloquist whose passion for ventriloquism began in childhood. His interest was ignited by the performances of his uncle, Bill Spake, a professional entertainer who taught Steve the intricacies of the craft during his visits.
Today, Steve travels across the country, performing at a variety of church events, including appreciation banquets, Upward Celebrations, youth and children’s rallies, holiday gatherings, and family nights. He also conducts lectures at resource conferences, and drama and comedy workshops. It is abundantly clear that audiences will not want to miss his entertaining performances featuring his hilariously funny “friends.”
Steve's journey into ventriloquism began at the age of seven, inspired by his uncle Bill. At eleven, he made the personal decision to embrace a relationship with Christ at his grandmother's church, where Grandma Spake served as a significant spiritual influence throughout his life. By the age of fifteen, Steve was utilizing ventriloquism in children’s worship to convey the Gospel, while actively participating in Bible Studies and Bus Ministry. He later answered the call to become a Children’s Pastor, a role he held for fifteen years.
Steve graduated from Campbell University in North Carolina, returning to perform for incoming freshmen classes. Throughout his extensive career in performance, Bible teaching, and leading youth and children’s worship, he has maintained his original passion for entertaining and teaching all ages about the joy of laughter as a divine gift. He believes that our life choices reflect our love for God.
Married for 46 years to Carlette, Steve is a proud father of two daughters, Tiffany and Tori, as well as three granddaughters, Piper, Oakley, and Addie. Carlette manages Steve’s schedule and travel arrangements while also running her own family-friendly entertainment agency, PB&J Entertainment.
Steve Brogan has honed his God-given talent to a professional level, earning national awards in ventriloquism over the years. He performs at hundreds of events annually, seamlessly integrating humor with teachings about God's love and spiritual truths. “I feel very fortunate to be able to make people laugh for a living,” Steve states. “Not only do I enjoy my work, but I also get paid to have fun, watch others laugh, and share God’s immense love for us. What could be a better job?” Steve Brogan's future is bright, filled with laughter, and working with dummies.
